We will always tell it like it is, for photography or anything in life. We treat people as we would want to be treated and offer advice as if it was us, or a family member or friend was impacted.
We have reviewed agency model portfolios own New England to New York, Florida and LA for over 25 years. We have been looking at or r3eceiving Vogue Magazine and other modeling magazines going back to the 60s and each Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Magazine since year one.
It appears the trade is falling apart. For decades photographers might not bee the be4st but many knew the idea behind taking an image and how to be a professional photographer. Instagram to current day reviews of Agency model portfolios in any location to find very few models with even a day one starter portfolio/ Horrible shooting, posing, lack of common sense. A photographer receiving agency praise sur3e does not get it and a portfolio they had done for a model who wasted nearly a thousand on useless clothing suggesting and a serious ghetto, expensive paid shoot with a commercial trash bin in the background and massive electrical pipes in another. No attention to detail. We just looked at their portfolio advertising their still work and it’s a disgrace. Be careful people are eon instagram to You Tube tons of photographers offering how to shoot or pose a make or female model and looking at all their samples we were shooting more professional images at 8 years old.
We see major sellers of photography equipment or so called experts making money from having master classes and workshops and they have NO CLUE or common sense and are outright slinging the bullshit in many ways and I sure would not hire them even for free, Be careful. Be sure to understand the purpose of a model image. Glamour modeling with hands next to faces or any model to photographers saying they’re publish is a warning to stay away. Only jokers say they are published. Every REAL pro photographer and model know no-one even at world class modeling and jobs every say they are published. None of the photography associations in the world consider Instagram magazines as published and the courts back them up. This is still the case worldwide as of January 2026 as it was in the first days of the internet. You have a serious joker and if becoming a career model is our goal, these failures will not be able to help. I spent 60 years helping agency models and hate clowns who try and bullshit models. A smart model would know better on their own knowing to ask where? Distribution numbers? Why were you and your model chosen? Did you promote this magazine or Instagram / Facebook account prior? Just basics you want to incorporate in your modeling to photography career. If you’re shooting just for fun and not income or a career then who cares?
We love shooting with other photographers, males and females and for years ran massive group shoots at our studio. Lots of fun! Male and female togs lets do some join shoots!
